Punjab’s Only Modern Wastewater Treatment Project, Supported by Denmark, Progressing Swiftly. Faisalabad :Managing Director WASA, Suhail Qadir Cheema, visited the site of the Eastern Wastewater Treatment Plant Project and reviewed the ongoing construction work. Project Director Kamran Raza Kahlon was also present. The MD stated that with the cooperation of Denmark, this is the only project of its kind in Punjab through which 33 million gallons of sewage water will be treated daily and made usable for agricultural purposes. He said the project will not only ensure an abundant supply of water for farmers but will also significantly reduce environmental and air pollution for the citizens. He added that the wastewater treatment plant project holds immense importance and WASA has placed special focus on its timely completion. During the visit, he instructed the contractor staff to continue the construction work strictly according to the given timeline. Project Director Kamran Raza Kahlon briefed the MD on the progress made so far, which he appreciated, noting that WASA Faisalabad is committed to providing high-quality sewerage services to the public. He said that upon completion, the project will greatly improve sewage disposal services and help control pollution across the city.
