Faisalabad:On the instructions of Federal Ombudsman Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi, the Regional advisor for Faisalabad, Shahid Hussain Jilani visited Faisalabad Airport on Wednesday along with an inspection team. He accompanied by Assistant Registrar Yasir Shabbir Malik and his team, inspected the One-Window Facilitation Desk at the airport to review the services being provided to passengers in compliance with the directions of the Federal Ombudsman.
Shahid Hussain Jilani said that some passengers had complained about mismanagement in certain airport procedures. Therefore, the visit was conducted to assess the available facilities, address complaints and suggest improvements for better services.He stated that, based on the initial assessment, most operations were running smoothly; however, a few issues were identified for which instructions have been issued to the airport management. He added that recommendations for resolving these issues will also be forwarded to the Federal Ombudsman, who will play his role in the matter.On this occasion, Airport Manager Ms. Tasneem Akhtar briefed the visiting team about the One-Window Facilitation Desk, Polio Counter, NADRA Counter, ANF Joint Search Counter, Immigration Desk, Overseas Pakistanis Counter, Information Counter, complaint boxes, flight schedules for domestic and international departures and other administrative matters.The Regional Ombudsman along with media representatives, inspected all departments of the airport and questioned the staff at each desk and counter regarding their duties and the facilities available to passengers. The team also reviewed procedures related to passenger baggage and its scanning system.The Adviser further interacted with passengers present at the airport and inquired about the facilities being provided to them, to which the passengers expressed satisfaction.
