Punjab Government Sets December 1 Start Date for Upgrading 25 Parks in Faisalabad

Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar Directs Completion of Renovation Work by January 30, 2026 Under CM Maryam Nawaz’s Vision

Faisalabad (28 November 2025): Under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the divisional administration is actively working to transform public parks into true recreational spaces for citizens. In this regard, an important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar, during which the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) finalized an extensive plan to upgrade 25 major parks across the city. The meeting was informed that renovation and facility-enhancement work in Qasim Park Gulberg, Jinnah Park Madina Town, Rabbani Park, Lady Park Shadab Colony, Mohammadi Park Gulistan Colony, 80 Marla Park, Mohammadi Park Sheikh Colony, Partab Nagar Park, Main Park Johar Colony, Usmania Park Samanabad, Madni Park Madina Town, Ali Park D-Type Colony, Ilahi Park D-Type Colony, Khawaja Islam Park Razaabad, Hijri Park Jaranwala Road, Riyaz Park Allama Iqbal Colony, Rehmania Park Allama Iqbal Colony, Mehfooz Park Battalion Colony, National Park Peoples Colony-1, Haji Park Nazimabad, Pento Park Warispura, Muslim Park Peoples Colony-2, Abu Bakar Park Sheikh Colony, Abdullah Park Jinnah Colony, and Islam Nagar Park will begin on December 1. The planned work includes construction of boundary walls, iron grill painting, installation of gates, bench repair, electrical and mechanical upgrades, and horticulture improvements. The commissioner assigned a strict deadline of January 30, 2026, to complete the Rs. 7.5 million project aimed at improving recreational facilities in all 25 parks. He further stated that additional parks will also be upgraded once more funds are released by the Punjab government. Additional Commissioner Coordination Aamir Raza, DG PHA Dilawar Khan, and other officials were also present.
