RPO Faisalabad visits Chiniot, reviews law and order

Faisalabad: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisalabad Sohail Akhtar Sukhera , visited Chiniot, where he reviewed the law and order situation and held meetings with police officials and community representatives.
Upon his arrival, a smartly turned-out police contingent presented a guard of honour to the RPO. He laid a floral wreath on Yadgar-e- Shuhda . He later chaired a meeting with members of the Peace Committee at the DPO Office, where the overall security situation, key issues and suggestions were discussed. The RPO Sohail Sukhera stressed the importance of religious harmony, tolerance and brotherhood, urging Peace Committee members to play an active role in maintaining peace. The committee members assured full cooperation in promoting law and order and interfaith harmony.The RPO also held an open court (khuli kacheri) at City Police Station Chiniot to address public grievances at their doorstep. DPO Chiniot Dr Naveed Atif, DSPs, SHOs, police officers and a large number of local residents attended the session. Mr Sakhira listened to citizens’ complaints and issued on-the-spot instructions for their prompt redress. He said the purpose of open courts was to strengthen police-public liaison and ensure swift justice at the police station level. He reiterated that maintaining law and order, equality before the law and timely provision of justice would be ensured at all costs.
Later, the RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhera held a police darbar at the police lines, attended by police officers and personnel from across the district, including Elite Force, women police officers and traffic police. Addressing the gathering, he inquired about the welfare and issues of police personnel and issued directions for their resolution. He said that, in line with the vision of Punjab Inspector General of Police Dr Usman Anwar, all possible steps were being taken for the welfare of the police force.
