WASA MD Directs Increase in Commercial Consumers and Revenue Recovery, Announces Reward and Punishment System

Faisalabad: Managing Director WASA, Saqib Raza, has directed the concerned officers to increase the number of commercial consumers and further improve the revenue recovery ratio, while assuring full operational support wherever required. Presiding over a meeting of the Revenue Directorates, he emphasized that domestic connections in general and commercial consumers in particular should be increased, and recovery from commercial users must be enhanced to boost overall revenue recovery.
The MD instructed that weekly revenue recovery targets be assigned to revenue officers and staff, and that these targets be achieved with dedication and hard work. He clarified that in areas facing operational issues, full support should be obtained from the Operations Directorate so that public grievances are resolved and consumers are encouraged to pay their bills.
MD WASA further stated that officers and staff who achieve their revenue recovery targets will be rewarded, while those who fail to meet targets will face penalties, as the department will now strictly follow a reward-and-punishment mechanism to ensure improved revenue recovery.
The meeting was attended by Director I&C Shehryar Hassan, Directors Revenue Muhammad Iqbal Malik and Umar Iftikhar, Deputy Directors Farhan Ali, Zafar Iqbal Qadri, Hafiz Moeen Ahmed, Parvez Iqbal Chadhar, Abdul Rauf Butt, and other officials.
