Faisalabad : In line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, efforts have been accelerated in Faisalabad to provide citizens with organized and convenient parking facilities. An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar, in which it was decided to further organize and enhance the attractiveness of 110 notified parking points across the city under the supervision of the Parking Company.
Addressing the meeting, the Commissioner directed that proper road markings, clear signboards, and single-lane parking arrangements be ensured at all parking sites, while parking charges should be revised accordingly. He also instructed that a comprehensive report be prepared for the establishment of new parking sites to effectively address the growing traffic and parking needs of the city.
The Commissioner categorically stated that there would be zero tolerance for illegal parking and that no parking would be allowed outside the officially notified parking points of the Parking Company.
The meeting was also briefed on measures being taken to prevent traffic accidents on Canal Road, including the installation of jersey barriers at U-turns and bridges to ensure the safety of commuters.
