The newly elected office bearers of Sahiwal Press Club Registered met with Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Samiullah Farooq at his office. Congratulating the newly elected office bearers, Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Samiullah Farooq said that free, responsible and positive journalism is the foundation of any civilized society. He said that strong communication between the administration and the media plays a key role in timely resolution of public issues, promotion of transparency and accurate awareness of government initiatives. Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Samiullah Farooq clarified that the district administration considers the journalist community as its important partner and will continue to cooperate closely with the media for the overall development of Sahiwal, law and order and public welfare. He expressed hope that the newly elected leadership would play its role by prioritizing journalistic values, responsibility, and public interest. The newly elected office bearers thanked the Deputy Commissioner and expressed their determination that the Sahiwal Press Club would fulfill its responsibilities for adhering to registered journalistic principles, positive reporting, and effective interpretation of public issues.
