WASA Faisalabad Announces Special Eid Plan for Smooth and Uninterrupted Water Supply Across the City
Managing Director WASA Faisalabad, Saqib Raza, has issued special directives to ensure the uninterrupted supply of clean water to citizens during the upcoming Eid holidays.
According to a WASA spokesperson, a special water supply schedule has been implemented to ensure fair distribution across all areas. Under this plan, water will be supplied for three hours in the morning and three hours in the evening. Morning supply will continue from 5:30 AM to 8:30 AM, while evening supply will be maintained from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
MD WASA Saqib Raza has directed all concerned officers to keep tube wells, filtration plants, and water supply lines fully operational throughout the Eid holidays. He instructed staff to remain on high alert to handle any emergency situation and emphasized that negligence in water supply will not be tolerated.
He further urged field staff to perform their duties with full responsibility to ensure uninterrupted services for the public during the festive period.
The MD also appealed to citizens to use water responsibly according to the announced schedule and avoid the unnecessary use of suction pumps and motors. He warned that excessive use of such devices disrupts the supply system, creates negative pressure in pipelines, and increases the risk of contamination, which can pose serious public health concerns.
Furthermore, he announced that a special monitoring cell has been established during the Eid holidays to address complaints promptly. Citizens can report issues related to water shortage or drainage by contacting WASA’s helpline 1334, where staff will be available 24/7.
