Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh Urges Nation to Follow Imam Hussain’s (RA) Teachings

CHINIOT: Federal Minister for Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh has said that the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) is an eternal message of truth, steadfastness and sacrifice for the Muslim Ummah, while the exemplary religious harmony witnessed in Chiniot should serve as a model for the rest of the country.
Addressing a religious gathering in Chiniot on Friday, attended by political and social leaders as well as a large number of devotees, the minister said that the tragedy of Karbala is not merely a glorious chapter of Islamic history but a timeless lesson for humanity to stand firmly against oppression, tyranny and falsehood. He said Imam Hussain’s (RA) supreme sacrifice proved that no sacrifice is too great for upholding truth, protecting Islam and remaining steadfast on principles.
Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh said that the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the Ahl-e-Bait continue to inspire millions of Muslims around the world with the values of courage, patience, dignity, perseverance and selflessness. He emphasized that Karbala teaches believers never to bow before injustice but to remain committed to truth and righteousness.
The federal minister said that in today’s world, marked by conflicts and challenges, the Muslim Ummah should draw lessons of unity, tolerance, mutual respect and steadfastness from the teachings of Imam Hussain (RA). He added that love for the Ahl-e-Bait is an integral part of every Muslim’s faith, while the invaluable services and sacrifices of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) companions must also always be remembered.
He said the Rightly Guided Caliphs and the companions set unparalleled examples of justice, equality, tolerance and service to humanity, helping spread the message of Islam across the world. Muharram, he said, is a reminder of unity, brotherhood, patience and mutual respect rather than sectarianism or division.Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh urged people to make the true message of Karbala a part of their daily lives to strengthen peace, harmony, tolerance and national unity. He noted that he has had the privilege of attending Muharram gatherings in Chiniot for nearly 25 years and appreciated the organizers, religious scholars and community leaders for ensuring peaceful, well-organized and respectful observances.
Highlighting development initiatives, the minister said the government is paying special attention to improving basic infrastructure, repairing roads and implementing development projects across Chiniot. He said work is progressing rapidly on the FEDMIC Industrial Zone, Pakistan’s second-largest industrial zone, which will attract investment, create employment opportunities for youth and strengthen the local economy.
He reaffirmed his commitment to resolving the problems of Chiniot’s residents, stating that improving education and healthcare facilities remains among his top priorities. He assured citizens that his office would remain open to all and that he would continue working without discrimination to address their legitimate concerns.
Concluding his address, the minister prayed for Pakistan’s peace, stability, economic prosperity and progress and for unity among the Muslim Ummah. He also prayed that Allah Almighty grant everyone the ability to follow the teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the Ahl-e-Bait and the companions by promoting love, brotherhood, justice and service to humanity.
