CTD Detains Four Suspected Facilitators of Jaffer Express Attack

Quetta: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has taken four suspected facilitators into custody in connection with the Jaffer Express attack.

According to CTD sources, investigations into the terrorist attack on Jaffer Express are ongoing in collaboration with other agencies to identify the attackers. The authorities are conducting forensic examinations of weapons and communication devices used by the slain terrorists.

CTD officials have also sent the fingerprints of the deceased attackers to NADRA for identification, along with their body parts for forensic analysis.

Background of the Jaffer Express Attack

The attack occurred when terrorists from the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) hijacked the Jaffer Express near Sibi while it was en route from Quetta to Peshawar. The militants took passengers, including women and children, hostage.

In a swift response, Pakistani security forces killed all 33 terrorists involved in the attack. However, the militants had already killed 25 people, including four Pakistani soldiers, before being neutralized.
