“Pakistan, China Form $7B Consortium for ML-1 Railway Project”

Pakistan and China have agreed to create a consortium, including ADB and AIIB, to finance the $7 billion ML-1 Karachi–Peshawar railway project. A four-year CPEC action plan (2025–2029) was also launched, with China promising additional funding for the Karakoram Highway.
