Advisor to the Federal Ombudsman of Pakistan, Shahid Hussain Jilani Talking to Our Bureau Chief, said that providing timely justice to the public is the foremost priority of the Federal Ombudsman’s Office. He emphasized that citizens approach them with complaints related to various departments, particularly WAPDA, and every effort is made to resolve their grievances without delay. Shahid Hussain Jilani stated that an open court (Khuli Kachehri) is regularly organized at his office on a daily basis, where a large number of citizens appear to register their complaints, especially those concerning electricity billing issues, delayed connections and complaints regarding staff behavior.He further mentioned that by the grace of Allah, most of these complaints are addressed promptly through effective coordination with the relevant authorities. The Federal Ombudsman’s Office is committed to ensuring transparency and fairness in all procedures, providing a platform where citizens can seek justice free of cost and without unnecessary hurdles.
Shahid Hussain Jilani reiterated that resolving public complaints at the earliest is a part of the Ombudsman’s mandate and the office will continue to work tirelessly in the interest of the people.
