The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled its Team of the Year 2024, featuring three players from Pakistan: young opener Saim Ayub, fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, and pacer Haris Rauf.

Sri Lanka dominates the lineup with four players. Charith Asalanka has been named captain, while Kusal Mendis is the wicketkeeper. Pathum Nissanka (middle order) and spinner Wanindu Hasaranga are also included.

Additionally, Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Azmat Omarzai, and A.M. Ghazanfar are part of the playing XI.

Notably, players from major teams such as India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Bangladesh failed to secure a spot in the squad.
