and violence. Representatives from the District Bar, civil society, the Peace Committee, school and college students, professors, and journalists participated enthusiastically in the seminar.
Addressing the seminar, District Police Officer (DPO) Mandi Bahauddin, Kamran Aamir Khan, stated that the protection of women and children is a collective responsibility of society. He emphasized that, alongside effective measures against sexual harassment and abuse, raising public awareness is the need of the hour. He remarked that the police, civil society, educational institutions, parents, and all segments of society must work together to establish a safe society. He asserted that no form of harassment, abuse, or violence against women and children would be tolerated, and effective legal action would be taken against those responsible. Civil society members, the Peace Committee, the legal community, students, professors, and media personnel actively participated in the seminar and the awareness walk. Professor Tariq Javed (Principal, District Jinnah Public School and College), Syed Yasir Arafat Shah (President, District Bar Association), and other speakers also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the protection of women and children, the elimination of sexual harassment, and the creation of a safe and peaceful society. An awareness walk was also held at the conclusion of the event.
