Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar Visits Kohat, Inquires After Injured Police Personnel and Citizens
(By Anwar zeb Khan) PESHAWAR:Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar visited Kohat and inquired after police personnel and citizens injured in the recent incident at a local hospital. During the visit, the minister reviewed the medical facilities being provided to the injured and asked about their health and treatment.Upon his arrival in Kohat, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Kohat Irfan Tariq and District Police Officer (DPO) Rai Mazhar Iqbal received the federal minister. The police officers briefed Atta Tarar about the recent incident, the condition of those injured and the medical treatment being provided to them.Atta Tarar meet the injured police personnel and citizens individually, inquired about their health and spoke with doctors regarding their treatment. He directed the relevant authorities to ensure the provision of the best possible medical facilities to all the injured.Later, the federal minister visited the residence of police official Faheem, who was martyred in the incident. He offered Fateha and expressed condolences to the bereaved family. He prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks and for patience and strength for the bereaved family.Speaking on the occasion, Atta Tarar said that the sacrifices rendered by police personnel for maintaining law and order, protecting citizens and combating terrorism were unforgettable. He said police personnel were performing their duties with courage and dedication for the protection of the people.He assured that the state would not leave the families of martyrs alone and would continue to extend all possible support to them. He also expressed his best wishes for the early recovery of the injured police personnel and citizens.The federal minister appreciated the professionalism, dedication and morale of the Kohat Police, saying that the police force had an important role in maintaining peace and protecting the public. He assured that the federal government would continue to extend all possible cooperation to law-enforcement agencies.Senior police officers and other relevant officials were also present on the occasion.
