Principal Gulzar Hussain, Two Students Honoured with Shan-e-Pakistan Awards

(By Zafar Chishti, Bureau Chief Punjab Pakistan) LAHORE: The educational services and commitment to quality education of Qaid-e-Millat Public School Amirabad have received national recognition with Principal Gulzar Hussain and two students being honoured with the prestigious Shan-e-Pakistan Awards.A prestigious Pakistan Stability Conference and Shan-e-Pakistan Awards ceremony was recently organised by APOWA Pakistan at the Pak Heritage Hotel in Lahore. A large number of prominent personalities from different walks of life attended the event.
During the ceremony, Shan-e-Pakistan Awards were presented to personalities who had rendered outstanding services in the fields of literature, journalism, education, social welfare, medicine and other sectors.Principal Gulzar Hussain of Qaid-e-Millat Public School Amirabad was honoured in recognition of his outstanding educational services in Chorbat, a remote area of Gilgit-Baltistan and his efforts to promote quality education and provide better educational opportunities to students.Two students of the school, Hira Farman and Masooma Ibrahim were also honoured with Shan-e-Pakistan Awards for their outstanding performance in the international American Mathematics Olympiad, where they brought recognition to Pakistan. Hira Farman won a Gold Medal, while Masooma Ibrahim secured a Silver Medal.
Representing Principal Gulzar Hussain and the two medal-winning students, Yaqoob Akhonzada, manager of a renowned local hotel, received all three awards at the ceremony.The administration of Qaid-e-Millat Public School Amirabad and local residents congratulated Principal Gulzar Hussain and the two students on receiving the national honours, describing the recognition as a matter of pride for the institution, the local community and Gilgit-Baltistan.
