Prince Karim Aga Khan, the 49th Imam of the Ismaili community, has passed away at the age of 88 in Lisbon, Portugal. His followers worldwide are mourning his death. As per his will, Mawlana Hazrat Imam Shah Rahim-ul-Hussaini has been named the 50th Imam of the Ismaili community. The announcement was made in Lisbon in the presence of the Imam’s family and senior community members. Prince Karim dedicated his life to improving the lives of marginalized communities through the Aga Khan Development Network, focusing on education, health, economy, and culture.
