Overseas Pakistanis sent approximately $17.84 billion to Pakistan during the first six months of the fiscal year, according to the State Bank of Pakistan. In December 2024 alone, remittances reached $3.07 billion, marking a 29% increase compared to December 2023.

The breakdown shows $770 million sent from Saudi Arabia, $630 million from the UAE, $450 million from the UK, $360 million from Europe, and $280 million from the US.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Stock Exchange experienced a bearish trend, and the US dollar depreciated against the Pakistani rupee.
