Pakistan Ambassador Meets Pakistan Investors Forum Jeddah Delegation
Both Sides Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthening Pakistan–Saudi Arabia Trade, Investment and Economic Cooperation
**Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia:** H.E. **Ahmed Farooq**, Ambassador of Pakistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, held a meeting with a delegation of the **Pakistan Investors Forum (PIF) Jeddah**, led by its President **Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood Dhool**, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The delegation comprised prominent Pakistani investors, industrialists, entrepreneurs, and business leaders based in the Kingdom. Discussions focused on strengthening economic ties, promoting investment opportunities in Pakistan, and enhancing the contribution of overseas Pakistanis to the country’s sustainable economic growth.
During the meeting, participants exchanged views on creating a more business-friendly investment environment, facilitating overseas Pakistani investors, promoting exports, encouraging business-to-business partnerships, and improving coordination between government institutions and the overseas business community.
Addressing the meeting, **Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood Dhool** highlighted the role of the Pakistan Investors Forum Jeddah as a leading platform representing Pakistani investors and entrepreneurs in Saudi Arabia. He said the Forum has consistently worked to safeguard the interests of the Pakistani business community, promote investment in Pakistan, facilitate networking among investors, and strengthen commercial and economic relations between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He noted that Saudi Arabia offers significant opportunities for Pakistani businesses in sectors including construction, logistics, information technology, food processing, healthcare, tourism, renewable energy, manufacturing, and other emerging industries. He emphasized that stronger collaboration between the Government of Pakistan, the Embassy of Pakistan, and overseas investors would help attract foreign direct investment, increase exports, create employment opportunities, and contribute to Pakistan’s long-term economic development.
Ambassador **Ahmed Farooq** appreciated the valuable contributions of the Pakistan Investors Forum Jeddah and commended the role of the overseas Pakistani business community in supporting Pakistan’s economy. He observed that overseas Pakistanis continue to make substantial contributions not only through remittances but also through investment, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, professional expertise, and global business networks.
The Ambassador reaffirmed the Embassy of Pakistan’s commitment to providing every possible support to Pakistani investors and business professionals in Saudi Arabia. He assured the delegation that the Embassy would continue working closely with relevant government institutions to facilitate investment, address issues facing overseas investors, strengthen communication with the business community, and promote Pakistan as an attractive destination for local and foreign investment.
The participants also discussed the importance of expanding business-to-business engagement, organizing investment forums, trade exhibitions, business delegations, and strengthening institutional cooperation between Pakistani and Saudi chambers of commerce and investment organizations.
The meeting concluded in a warm and constructive atmosphere. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening bilateral economic relations and enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, entrepreneurship, and industrial development. They also agreed to maintain close coordination to encourage greater participation of overseas Pakistani investors in Pakistan’s national development and to further strengthen the economic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The Pakistan Investors Forum Jeddah reiterated its commitment to working closely with the Embassy of Pakistan to promote investment opportunities, strengthen investor confidence, facilitate the Pakistani business community, and contribute to expanding Pakistan–Saudi Arabia economic and commercial relations for the mutual benefit of both brotherly countries.
