Interior Ministry Announces July 10 Crackdown on Illegal Afghan Nationals Nationwide

The Ministry of Interior has issued a formal notification announcing a nationwide crackdown against Afghan nationals residing illegally in Pakistan, with operations set to begin on July 10. The directive covers all provinces, including Quetta.

According to the notification, provincial chief secretaries, inspectors general of police, and the Islamabad administration have been ordered to ensure strict compliance. Authorities have been instructed to arrest all undocumented Afghan nationals before the July 10 deadline.

The move follows an ongoing evacuation operation that began under the previous caretaker government. Officials say repeated warnings have been issued urging illegal residents to voluntarily return to Afghanistan.

Highly placed sources said Pakistani authorities and intelligence agencies have also taken serious notice of alleged illegal activities and anti-Pakistan propaganda linked to some Afghan nationals.
