On the instructions of District Police Officer Sahiwal Muhammad Usman Tipu, Sahiwal Police is implementing a comprehensive and three-layer security plan for Christmas security across the district to protect Christian places of worship and religious events on the occasion of Christmas. Well-equipped teams of District Police, Traffic Police and Elite Force are currently present in the field and are performing security duties at churches, parks, cemeteries and other sensitive places. Additional police personnel have been put on alert to deal with any emergency. A total of 143 churches have been deployed across the district on the occasion of Christmas, including 05 of Category A, 34 of Category B and 104 of Category C churches. Apart from this, police personnel are also performing their duties at 06 parks, 03 Christian cemeteries and 09 other important places. Strict checking is being carried out at the entrance and exit routes of churches and sensitive places through walk-through gates, while strict surveillance is being carried out with CCTV cameras. Patrolling and patrolling have been significantly increased and immediate action is being taken on every suspicious activity. Traffic police are also continuously performing duty around important highways, parking areas and churches for the convenience of citizens. On this occasion, DPO Sahiwal Muhammad Usman Tipu directed all officers to be present in the field and said that maintaining peace and order during the celebrations of the Christian community is our top priority. A zero tolerance policy will be adopted against elements who take the law into their own hands and the protection of lives and property of citizens will be ensured at all costs.
