Faisalabad:Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisalabad, Sohail Akhtar Sukhera has extended warm greetings to the nation on Quaid-e-Azam Day and to the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas, reaffirming the police department’s commitment to ensuring peace, harmony land security across the region. The RPO also congratulated all Christian officers and personnel serving in the Faisalabad Region, stating that the police stand shoulder to shoulder with the Christian community in celebrating their religious festivities.
In view of Christmas prayers and celebrations, foolproof security arrangements have been put in place across the Faisalabad Region following close consultation with church administrations. A high security alert has been declared with over 4,000 police officers and personnel deployed at 439 churches and other sensitive locations.To strengthen security, 450 metal detectors have been installed, while strict checking is being carried out at all entry and exit points. Dolphin Squad and Elite Force units are conducting effective patrolling in and around churches. Additionally, 176 CCTV cameras have been installed to monitor sensitive churches.Extra police contingents, including Elite Commandos and snipers, have been deployed at highly sensitive churches. Entry into churches is being allowed only after thorough checking and verification of identity.
RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhera has directed all police officers to remain extremely vigilant and to keep a close watch on suspicious individuals and activities. City Police Officer (CPO), District Police Officers (DPOs) and senior police officials are personally monitoring security arrangements at churches.Police officials remain in constant coordination with church administrations, while the public has been urged to cooperate with security agencies and immediately report any suspicious activity.The Faisalabad Police remain fully committed to safeguarding religious freedom and ensuring that Christmas celebrations are observed in a peaceful and secure environment.
