Pakistani Driving License Accepted in 132 Countries

The IG of the Motorway Police has announced that Pakistan-issued traffic licenses are accepted in 132 countries. During a meeting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Communications, the IG mentioned that Pakistan’s traffic license is valid in 132 countries, and efforts are being made to digitalize the fines system on highways.

In response to a query by the committee chairman regarding actions taken against vehicles causing smog, the Secretary of Communications stated that the responsibility for assessing vehicle fitness lies with the provincial authorities.

With this development, Pakistani citizens can now drive legally in 132 countries using Pakistan’s international driving license, making travel abroad more convenient without the need for additional documentation.

Countries where Pakistan’s driving license is accepted include the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Ireland, Finland, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, South Africa, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Nepal, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Nigeria, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Iceland.
