U.S. Pushes for Greater Market Access in South Korea, Focuses on Agriculture and Tech

The United States has urged South Korea to provide better market access, particularly in the agriculture and technology sectors, South Korea’s trade minister said on Sunday.

The request comes as both nations seek to strengthen economic ties while addressing trade imbalances. Washington is pushing for reduced barriers for U.S. agricultural products and expanded opportunities for American tech firms in the Korean market.

As trade negotiations continue, the discussions could shape future agreements, with both sides looking to balance economic cooperation and domestic industry protections.
