Toronto Celebrates Youth Cricket Excellence with Grand Awards Night
A vibrant evening of celebration and recognition lit up Toronto as the International Canadian Youth Cricket League and Yari Cricket League hosted a grand dinner and awards ceremony at Karachi Nihari Restaurant in honor of the teams that participated in their recent tournament.
The event brought together rising cricket talent, league officials, and community members, reflecting the growing energy and passion for youth cricket within Canada’s South Asian diaspora. The atmosphere was filled with pride and excitement as players were applauded for their dedication, teamwork, and outstanding performances on the field.
Speaking at the occasion, League President Javed Ali Khan praised the competing teams for their high level of play and sportsmanship. He emphasized the league’s continued commitment to nurturing young athletes and providing them with opportunities to excel in cricket.

In his remarks, he also extended heartfelt appreciation to Frank Scarpitti, Mayor of Markham, for his strong support in facilitating the tournament.
