Mandi Bahauddin district achieved the top ten position in the entire Punjab by administering polio drops to 625,000 children during the anti-polio campaign. According to the details, during the anti-polio campaign that continued from October 13 to October 16, a total of more than 325,000 children were administered polio drops in Mandi Bahauddin district. Polio teams also went to railway stations, bus and wagon depots and slums to administer polio drops to children up to five years of age. Appreciating the excellent performance of Chief Executive Officer Health Mandi Bahauddin Dr. Kiran Arshad and District Health Officer Dr. Muhammad Iftikhar during the polio campaign, he said in a special conversation with Bureau Chief SAMAA Lahore and PTV News Mandi Bahauddin correspondent Raja Muhammad Ayub that according to the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, under the polio-free Punjab, during the four-day national anti-polio campaign that continued from October 13 to October 16, the health department teams went door to door in the three tehsils of Mandi Bahauddin district, Malikwal, Mandi Bahauddin and Phalia, and administered polio vaccine and vitamin A drops to more than 324,000 children up to five years of age. For the campaign, 70 fixed teams consisting of 2922 workers of the health department, 45 transit point teams, 1225 door-to-door teams, 70 UCMOs and 242 area in-charges were appointed. He said that polio can be eradicated only through practical measures. To eradicate polio, it is necessary that we as a nation play our positive role and give our children polio drops every time so that we can protect our future generations from this dangerous and harmful disease. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Faisal Saleem appreciated the performance of Chief Executive Officer Health Dr. Kiran Arshad and District Health Officer Dr. Muhammad Iftikhar for their excellent performance during the polio campaign.
