International Women’s Day: Ch Naeem emphasizes the importance of women’s education, empowerment, and equal opportunities for the progress of society and Pakistan.

District Health and Population Welfare Officer Toba Tek Singh Chaudhry Muhammad Naeem said that International Women’s Day is celebrated around the world every year on March 8. This day is dedicated to recognizing the struggles, sacrifices, achievements and the vital role of women in the development and progress of society.
He said that women are the foundation and a strong pillar of any society. An educated, empowered and aware woman not only guides her family but also leads society toward a positive direction. History shows that whenever women are given access to education, freedom and equal opportunities, societies move forward on the path of development. As mothers, sisters, daughters and wives, women play an essential role in human life, without which the social system cannot even be imagined.
However, unfortunately, like many other parts of the world, women in our society also face various problems and challenges, including lack of education, economic inequality and social injustices.
He further said that women in Pakistan have proven their abilities in every field. Whether it is education, politics, journalism, medicine, judiciary, business or social services, women have demonstrated that if they are given opportunities, they can play a significant role in the development of the country and the nation.Today, many women through their hard work and competence are not only supporting their families but are also bringing positive change in society.
He emphasized that the real purpose of International Women’s Day should not be limited to ceremonies and statements. Instead, it should remind us that ensuring equal rights, protection and dignity for women is a shared responsibility of all of us.The government, social organizations, educational institutions and the public must work together to create an environment where women have equal access to education, employment and decision-making.
He added that there is a need to ensure respect for women and protection of their rights in our society. A civilized and developed society is one where women enjoy dignity, security, and equality.
If we truly want a strong and prosperous Pakistan, we must empower women, because the progress of any nation is not possible until half of its population is given equal opportunities.
International Women’s Day reminds us to promote respect, education, and independence for women and to build a society where every woman has the full right to express her abilities.
